Culture
According to CALCULATORINC, the traditional culture in Nauru has been squeezed under the strain that first a long-standing foreign occupation and then a sudden material abundance have brought.
The Naurus are more influenced by the Western world than other peoples in the region, they watch Australian and British TV and live to a large extent on imported fast food. However, a remnant of the past is the strong position of the clan; political loyalties often follow the family ties.
