BIMM Institute offers no accommodation on campus, but fortunately there are several other good options to choose from. The students find their own place of residence, and to help, BIMM has created a ‘city guide’ for each place. BIMM can also help contact other students who are looking for roomies through e.g. ‘The Accommodation Sharers List’, which is sent to students in the welcome pack.

Admission requirements

The admission requirements of the BIMM Institute vary according to the program of study you wish to study. Several of the study programs require applicants to go through an audition. Applicants can choose between attending an audition / evaluation in person, or submitting their contribution (video).

Norwegian students applying for study at the BIMM Institute must have a grade of 4 or higher on diplomas from upper secondary school. If you do not meet this requirement, take an IELTS test. Then the following requirements apply:

Annual study: General IELTS English test with a total score of 6 or higher (minimum 5.5 points in each of the four sections).
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree: Academic IELTS English test with a total score of 6.5 or higher (minimum 6.0 points in each of the four sections).
